L’armée suédoise intervient pour soutenir la police dans la lutte contre une récente recrudescence des meurtres commis par des gangs, a annoncé le Premier ministre Ulf Kristersson.

Rien que mercredi soir, deux jeunes hommes ont été abattus à Stockholm et une femme – qui, selon la police, n’avait aucun lien avec la criminalité organisée – a été tuée dans une explosion chez elle à environ 80 km au nord de la capitale.
La femme de 24 ans, nommée Soha Saad par les médias locaux, était une enseignante nouvellement diplômée et considérée comme une voisine de la cible de l’explosion.
M. Kristersson a fait cette annonce après des entretiens de crise vendredi avec le chef de l’armée suédoise Micael Byden, le chef de la police Anders Thornberg et le ministre de la Justice Gunnar Strommer.
Il a ajouté que le gouvernement demanderait à l’armée d’aider la police “dans les cas où les compétences spécialisées des forces armées peuvent être utiles”.
“Cela peut être beaucoup de choses : une aide pour la logistique des explosifs et des hélicoptères, des compétences en analyse… une analyse médico-légale informatique.”
